Online Maths Tuition
Our online maths tuition services are led by our brilliant team of maths undergraduates. We offer lessons for students at all ages up to A level, meaning that we can support your children through the entire school system!

Maths lessons in school often move at a fast pace and students who do not naturally grasp concepts can sometimes feel demotivated and disinterested. Our online maths tuition team is here to change that. They can help bring back the fun and positivity in maths, and work hard to boost their student’s confidence.

Our maths tutors address the needs of our students by creating tailored programmes to back up their learning in school. They identify any gaps in learning with informal baseline assessments to gauge their initial strengths and weaknesses. We then cover any challenging topics and allow the students to choose the lesson content. This offers complete control and enables them to shape their own learning, something that the school system cannot offer. Our maths tuition team will help students feel confident and more comfortable asking questions by building a strong relationship with their tutor, leading to an improved work environment.

Our online maths tuition team provide lessons to all students still in school, from Key Stage 2 all the way up to A level tuition. They aim to not only improve grades in school, but to give our students the confidence and enthusiasm for maths that all our tutors share.
A-level Maths Tuition
Students often find the step between GCSE and A-level maths to be much larger than expected. The course takes on a completely different structure, formally introducing mechanics, statistics and pure maths as three separate disciplines. Our maths tutors can help students navigate this new space, getting them familiar with all the new concepts and once again providing a helping hand with areas of difficulty.
GCSE Maths Tuition
The GCSEs are the first formal exams that most students in the UK will sit. At this level, students explore more complex concepts, such as algebra, statistics and proofs. It is often the case that some require more time and support to fully grasp these more challenging topics. Given that these are formal exams, tuition is an extremely helpful tool if your child is struggling. Students First has a track record of improving the grades of students who are finding the content difficult and providing them with the confidence to sit exams without being worried. Our maths tutors provide excellent exam technique advice, break down problems step by step and ensure that their students are going into exams feeling ready to tackle a paper.
Year 7-9 Maths Tuition
Students begin exploring new, more challenging content in years 7-9. This is often the first time that students are placed into sets and are expected to learn at a faster pace. These years are the transition period between KS2 and GCSE, and so a lot of work is required to prepare students for the first major exams they will sit. Our maths tutors will be on job to support your child through into GCSE content.
Primary School Maths Tuition
The primary grades are often considered the most important years of a child’s education. Here, students acquire content knowledge that they will use as the foundation for the rest of their learning. As with all of the core subjects, there are certain objectives for mathematics that should be addressed in the primary grades. Across primary school they will cover topics such as numbers and basic functions, measurements, geometry and much more. Our fantastic team of maths tutors will keep their student’s on top of this foundational content so that they can move forward into secondary school feeling confident in their knowledge.
