Online Geography Tuition
Students often touch upon the basics of geography at primary school, however it isn't until year 7 that they will attend recurring lessons. This transition can leave students feeling overwhelmed or unprepared. In secondary education students are taught the two sides to geography; Human and Physical. The Human side explores how humanity interacts with the planet, covering topics such as renewable energy and the human population. Physical geography is all about nature; students will explore how rivers run and how the world’s surface comprises 7 major tectonic plates among many other things.
Geography is a very dense topic, there is a lot of content to cover and much of it is memory based. There isn’t one specific way of tutoring subjects like this, and so our geography tutors take a student-led attitude to providing these lessons. In the first session they will take the time to get to know the students and how they assimilate and retain information. They then tailor their following lessons around the students needs. This approach ensures a strong rapport between student and tutor, and nurtures a stronger comprehension of each geography module.
